The Beauty of Fall and Mortality

Less than a week before My Dark Passenger is officially relaunched, and I'm excited to have it back in time for Halloween.
Fall is such a strange time of year, when you think about it. It's the one time that the beauty of mortality is actually visible. If the leaves never died, then we would never have all those pretty autumn colors, and we wouldn't be able to jump into leaf piles as kids. If the leaves didn't decompose, the sweet smell of autumn wouldn't exist. It's especially a nice thought given the recent passing of my last grandparent. Though it is sad to say goodbye to summer, there's beauty in the changing seasons.
I even find comfort in the creepy, spooky aspects of fall, though I don't think I'm alone there. There's something about autumn that makes a lot of us want to feel a little bit afraid. A little uncomfortable. With My Dark Passenger, I wanted to provide a bit of that fall eeriness. So, for a few more days, the ebook can be purchased for $0.99 on Amazon. After that, the price returns to $2.99.
If you're also interested in spooky music to set the mood, I made an eerie Spotify playlist that I've been listening to as I write and revise other manuscripts, though I think it fits My Dark Passenger pretty well too, if you like to listen to music while you read.
Happy Halloween! I can't wait to see everyone's costumes. :)

I've never thought of fall like that, that it showcases the "beauty of mortality." How poetic and intriguing! Love your writing style! I'm buying a copy right now!! 😊
